Tees

Tees

Tees are necessary for practically every tee shot. You need low tees for iron tees, slightly higher tees for woods and even higher tees for drivers. Tees of different lengths can therefore be helpful. They are available in wood or plastic. Plastic tees are more durable, but wooden tees are much more environmentally friendly.

They are also available in a wide variety of colors and shapes. Tees from the company Lignum, for example, have spacer rings so that you can find and maintain the optimum tee height. There are also special spacer tees that ensure that the tee always protrudes the same height from the ground.

Golf balls

Golf balls

Always make sure you have enough golf balls with you! There is nothing more stressful than having to go home in the middle of a round because you have run out of golf balls. Golf balls consist of several components; at least a core and a shell. However, many models now have multiple cores and multiple layers, each with different capabilities.

Some offer a softer feel, others a harder feel. Some offer more spin for more control in the short game, others less spin for long shots off the tee. Balls with multi-part cores and layers sometimes even deliver different characteristics at the same time.

However, it is not so important at the beginning which golf balls you choose. The important thing is that you always choose the same model if possible to ensure consistent and reliable performance.

Stencils

Stencils

No bag should be without templates and marking pens! Especially at tournaments, it is extremely important to have your own ball individually marked so that you can identify it as your own.

But they can also be used to draw lines and symbols on the ball, which can help to align the ball before putting. Tip: Draw a continuous line around the equator of the ball - this is the easiest and most precise way to align the ball.

Pitch fork

Pitch fork

The pitch fork is necessary to remove the ball impact holes on the green (pitch mark) caused by approach shots. It is inexpensive to purchase and helps to ensure that the golf course is left as everyone would like to find it. Sets that include a pitch fork and a ball marker are particularly practical.

Ball marker

Ball marker

A ball marker is there to indicate the position of the ball on the green before it is picked up for cleaning or removed from a fellow player's putting line, for example.

Many different ball markers ensure that every golfer can easily find their own marker on the green. They are either made of plastic and can be stored in a trouser pocket or they are magnetic and can be attached to a clip on the cap or shoe so that they are quickly to hand.

Score counter

Score counter

At the beginning of your golf career, it's difficult to keep your shots in your head. You are so preoccupied with your game - where is my ball?, which club do I choose?, what type of shot do I hit best? - so that counting your shots almost becomes a minor matter. And then keeping track of your teammate's shots, who may be playing on the other side of the fairway, seems almost impossible.

This is where a score counter comes to the rescue! Whether in "click format" or in the form of a counting chain is not so important. You decide what you feel more comfortable with!

Golf umbrellas

Golf umbrellas

To avoid being caught in the rain during a downpour and still be able to enjoy your round of golf, you should always have an umbrella with you! Golf umbrellas are special for several reasons and differ from normal umbrellas. For example, they are not susceptible to lightning due to their carbon material. In addition, most golf umbrellas are really large so that you and your equipment are protected in the best possible way. And many have a two-part canopy so that any wind that gets into it does not fold it over. This makes it particularly storm-proof and stable.

Rangefinder

Rangefinder

Rangefinders make the game of golf so much easier! With the help of a rangefinder, you can accurately determine the distance from the ball to the target so that you can always make an informed decision about your club choice for the next shot. You can also use such a device to determine the distance you hit with each club.

Rangefinders are available in a wide variety of designs - either as a golf GPS watch, whose display shows the distances to the middle, start and end of the green as well as to individual obstacles, or as a laser or rangefinder, which can be used to measure the distances to any reflective objects.

Golf GPS watches are more practical and quicker to use, whereas lasers or rangefinders measure the distances to every bush, tree, obstacle, etc.

Towels

Towels

A club towel fulfills several functions at once. On the one hand, of course, it is used to clean your golf clubs. On the other hand, you can also use it to dry wet grips or gloves. A 2-sided TriFold club towel is therefore ideal - one side can be used for cleaning and the other for drying.

In an emergency, you can also hang it over your clubs if you are surprised by a rain shower on the course and there is not enough time to unpack and use the rain cover in your golf bag.
