After the golf course licence, things really get going
The golf licence is the ticket to "real golfing life". Now you can access the vast majority of golf courses without any problems. You are also only now accepted as a member of golf clubs. And if you want even more, you can also take part in tournaments with your licence to play. The flip side of the coin: while it was comparatively inexpensive to get a licence to play golf, the aforementioned follow-up costs now have to be paid. Although full membership of the local golf club offers unlimited access to the local green (and other benefits such as handicap management), it also costs at least €1,000 per year. So-called long-distance memberships are cheaper (from 200 euros). With this variant, however, a green fee is added to the round. On average, this costs around 40 euros. Golf clubs are available in the Golfhouse webshop from 349 euros. And if you really want to immerse yourself in golf, you won't want to do without golf shoes, a trolley and the right clothing. Despite all these costs, golf is no longer a millionaire's sport. Regular skiing holidays, kiteboarding or ambitious road biking tear similar or larger holes in the wallet and are of course less fun.
