Callaway Golf Bags
Callaway is not only a real specialist for golf clubs, but also for golf bags. Callaway golf bags are namely always well thought-out systems that not only transport, but above all shape the real golfer style.
1982 The Callaway success story begins with a pitching wedge and a 'steel-filled' hickory shaft in a golf store in Palm Springs. Ely Callaway, himself a passionate golfer, recognizes the technical and commercial potential of this revolutionizing idea that makes the game of golf easier. He buys 50% of the company and henceforth calls it "Callaway Hickory Stick USA".
1989 The S2H2 (Short Straight Hollow Hosel) metal woods are among the first to feature a bore-through shaft - today a typical, distinctive feature of many Callaway golf clubs.
1991 The first generation of the Big Bertha oversized steel driver, named after the World War I cannon "Dicke Berta," significantly changes the golf world with new distances and ease of play.
1994 With a round sole, the next evolutionary stage of the Callaway driver, now called the Big Bertha Warbird, is easily playable from the fairway. Golfers now also achieve remarkable stroke results here.
1995 With the 250 cc Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver, the extremely light and hard material titanium makes its way into golf club construction. The weight saved in the head allows the shaft to be longer, raising the striking distances of Callaway drivers to a new level.
1997 At 290 cc, the club head of the Biggest Big Bertha Driver is the largest ever built, paving the way for a new dimension in driver construction.
1999 At 247 cc smaller than its predecessor, the Callaway Great Big Bertha Hawkeye Driver with its draw weighting becomes one of the world's most successful golf clubs, and golfers still go into raptures when it is mentioned.
2000 With the ERC, Callaway introduces the fusion technology of carbon and titanium; however, due to its 'hot' face for extreme distances, it is soon banned in the USA.
2001 The Odyssey 2-Ball Putter with its unique alignment system becomes the absolute 'must have' on the greens of this world for the next few years, whether among tour professionals or amateurs.
2007 With the Callaway FT-i Driver in its square shape, it is from now on "hip to be a square" among golfers. The enormous forgiveness and easy playability impress players of all handicaps and set new standards in golf club design.
2008 I-MIX technology makes its debut. It offers the ability to customize and assemble the driver in terms of head and shaft.
2009 Callaway is part of a successful campaign to bring golf back to the 2016 Olympics.
2010 For the fourth consecutive year, Callaway tops Golf Digest's annual "Hot List."
2011 Callaway introduces the RAZR family. The RAZR Hawk driver, RAZR X irons and RAZR X hybrids. The clubs are designed to help golfers achieve more distance and accuracy.
2014 A legend returns. The new Big Bertha is the first driver with Adjustable Perimeter Weighting. This technology is only made possible by the new and particularly light crown.
